Tasty Thursdays: Snack Time

I don’t know about you guys but when i’m running around all day with a crazy schedule I get hungry!  It’s easy to reach for that bag of chips or pack of candy when you’re in crisis mode so an easy way to avoid that is to just have some healthy snacks on hand.  I always pack some snacks in my bag to munch on throughout the day, even if I don’t think i’ll need them.  Better safe than sorry!  Here are some of my favorites:

The Problem with “Organic”

I’m sure most of you are very familiar with the word “organic,” but have you ever really stopped and asked yourself: what is “organic”?

The answer should be simple: It is sustainable.  It is cultivated in a way that benefits the workers, the consumers, the environment, and the economy.  It is real

My tip is: the less packaging, the less advertising, the better.  Think about it.  How many advertisements have you seen about the benefits of fresh, organic fruits? …How many have you seen about chemical-filled, processed “fruit juice”?

Step two: Start thinking quality versus quantity.
